Warlock - Demonology
Purpose
To provide sustained DPS through the use of spells and your Felguard while also providing a 5% spell crit debuff with Improved Shadow Bolt talent and a raid-wide spellpower buff through the Demonic Pact talent. Increased survivability via Soul Link with your Felguard's Master Demonologist buff is also a huge plus.
Talents
0/41/30∞ Felguard/Fire
0/56/15∞ Meta/Ruin
*Demonic Pact does not stack with an Elemental Shaman's Totem of Wrath spellpower buff, which is +280. If you cannot obtain higher than 2800 spellpower fully raid buffed, you may want to drop 5/5 Demonic Pact for something else.
Normal Ability Rotation
Be sure to keep all damage over time spells active, fill with Shadow Bolt if Meta/Ruin or Incinerate if Felguard/Emberstorm, Life Tap when necessary.
Your rotation should look like this - Curse of Elements, Corruption, Immolate, Shadowbolt filler.
If your group uses an Unholy Death Knight or a Moonkin, replace Curse of Elements with Curse of Doom.
Decimation Phase Rotation
Once your raid boss target reaches 35% health you enter the Decimation Execute Phase which will change your rotation. The main difference is that you will no longer use all of your
DoTs and will focus on burst damage through Shadowbolt/Incinerate and Soul Fire.
First, make sure you are at max range. It is a good idea to place a Demonic Circle at max range so you can teleport there at 35%.
Soul Fire will become a part of our rotation. With Decimation up, spam soul fire as much as possible. As of 3.3, Soul Fire resets the Decimate buff, so it's almost spammable. I say almost because we still want to keep up Corruption, Improve Shadowbolt buff via an occasional Shadowbolt, and Curse of Elements. We can let Immolate fall off (and other curses). We keep up Corruption for the molten core procs, and the ISB and
CotE buff for the group-wide (as well as self) implications.
Additional Tips
Pay attention to your Metamorphosis and Demonic Empowerment cooldowns. Demonic Empowerment should be used every 42 seconds while Metamorphosis should be used every cooldown (2.1 seconds) during a boss encounter.
If the raid encounter is melee friendly, Demonic Charge in to melee range and use Immolation Aura while casting from melee range until Metamorphosis fades. Immolation Aura is worth an additional ~1k DPS on its own and should be used whenever possible.
Use Demonic Circle to teleport back to max range during the Decimation Execute Phase.

Recommended Glyphs
Glyph of Felguard
Glyph of Quick Decay
Glyph of Life Tap
Glyph of Metamorphosis is a common mistake for Warlocks new to Meta/Ruin but should not be used at all.
Recommended Enchants
Helm - SP/Crit enchant from honored Kirin Tor rep. If hit rating is needed, the old revered Sha'tar helm enchant will do fine.
Shoulder - Honored/Revered Sons of Hodir enchant or Inscription-only enchant.
Cloak - +Haste or Lightweave Embroider for Tailors.
Chest - +10 stats
Bracers - +30 spellpower
Gloves - +28 spellpower
Belt - Eternal Belt Buckle + Runed Scarlet Ruby/Runed Cardinal Ruby
Legs - SP/Spirit spellthread
Boots - Icewalker (crit/hit)
Weapon - +63 spellpower for one-handers. +81 spellpower for staves. Also use Spellstones.
Enchanters can also enchant their own
rings for +spellpower.
Recommended Consumables
Flask of the Frost Wyrm
Fish Feast or Firecracker Salmon
Destruction Potion for "double potting" - Using the pot right before you go in to combat so it doesn't give you "potion sickness". Also good to use during encounters where you don't need to use other pots, saving them for Execute phases.
